the woman had been hungering her whole life.
she walked into the grocery store
and walked out with the food magazine under her jacket.
she thought it would bring her joy
she looked through the glossy pages
ingredients like fresh Thai basil and truffle oil seemed strange and exotic to her.
all that food she didn't have and the absurd idea of owning a kitchen, yet alone a home
filled her with rage.
she tore the pages out
and let them scatter on the wind.
